Steps to the Shore

An original oil painting capturing the inviting journey down through the dunes to the water's edge. I wanted to create a strong sense of perspective, guiding the eye past the weathered wooden posts and coastal grasses toward a brilliant expanse of turquoise sea and a deep, open sky. Utilising the rich depth of oils allows me to contrast the warm, textured sand of the pathway with the crisp white seafoam and vivid ocean blues.

This piece is presented on a contemporary box canvas, allowing the dramatic coastal scene to wrap seamlessly around the edges.
