To the Waves

I wanted to create a real sense of journey in this piece, leading the eye down through a sandy pathway in the towans towards the water.

The elongated composition captures the steep drop of the dunes, where weathered wooden posts and tufts of marram grass frame the descent.

Beyond the beach, the sea transitions from a bright, luminous teal at the shoreline to a rich, deep azure that meets a soft, expansive summer sky.
