The Island Chapel, St. Ives

The iconic Island Chapel, more properly called St. Nicholas Chapel

Overlooking Porthmeor beach the chapel was built sometime around 1400, dedicated to St. Nicholas, the patron saint of sailors and, after a varied history, was almost demolished before being saved and restored in 1911 by local ship owner Sir Edward Hain.
